Our mission
To make sustainable shopping simple, by reviewing only products that carry a recognised sustainability certification and showing which of them are also genuinely good to use.
Climate Friendly Choices is an independent, reader-supported review site and blog about lower-impact everyday products. Every product we review carries Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly label, which means it holds at least one recognised third-party sustainability certification. We then ask the second question that matters: is it actually good?
Who we write for
- Conscious shoppers who want to reduce their footprint without researching every certification themselves.
- Busy people who need products that work well, not just products with a green label.
- The sustainability-curious who want clear, jargon-free explanations of what labels and claims really mean.
What we cover
- Clean beauty reviews: skincare, hair care and personal care with sustainability certifications.
- Home and decor reviews: textiles, furnishings and decorative items for a lower-impact home.
- Home office reviews: desks, chairs, accessories and supplies for a greener workspace.
- The Earth-Minded Blog: guides to certifications, sustainable habits and smarter buying.
What we stand for
- Certified, not just claimed. We only review products with a recognised certification, and we name the certification so you can check it.
- Sustainable and good. A product that disappoints gets replaced, and that is not sustainable either. We judge quality and usefulness as strictly as environmental credentials.
- Honesty about trade-offs. No product has zero impact. We explain what a certification does and does not cover, and avoid greenwashing language.
- Progress over perfection. Small, informed choices add up. We never shame readers for where they start.
How Climate Friendly Choices makes money
Climate Friendly Choices is free to read and earns money through affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a link to Amazon on this site and buy something, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay does not change. Links to Amazon are marked as sponsored. Our commissions never decide which products we recommend or how we score them, and we do not accept payment or free products in exchange for reviews.
How we review
Our reviews are research-based. We verify each product’s Climate Pledge Friendly status and certifications, then combine specifications with patterns across verified customer reviews. We do not claim hands-on testing unless an article says so explicitly. Read the details on our How we review page.
